NATO Slave Cables
ETI offers various additional cables for your TacticalPower units.
Our NATO cables are classified as MTW (machine tool wire) which is composed of numerous fine strands allowing the cable can be easily manipulated. Each cable is also available in a variety of lengths, enabling you to reach power sources that may be too far away in other situations.
Generally referred to as "slave starting" in military parlance, the jump starting procedure has been simplified for military vehicles. Tactical vehicles used by NATO militaries possess 24-volt electrical systems and, in accordance with STANAG 4074, have standard slave receptacles for easy connection. NATO slave cables are plugged in to the receptacle on each vehicle, and the dead vehicle is started with the live vehicle's engine running.
After gaining popularity for slave starting, these cables have been put into service in other areas. They can be connected to ETI's tactical inverters, battery modules and other types of vehicles as well.
